da bwin: Leeds fans are unhappy that the club is not doing more to convince Pablo Hernandez to stay.
da 888casino: The flying Spaniard signed a one-year contact last year, but there is no word on another extension when his deal runs out this summer.
Hernandez turns 33 this year, so it is hardly a surprise that the club aren’t jumping into another contract with him, but his creative influence in a poor Leeds team would be sorely missed.
The winger has six goals and eight assists in all competitions this season, and his set piece wizardry and ability to pick a pass makes him one of the few players in the current squad deemed fit to wear the shirt by fans.
Leeds recent form has taken them completely out of the playoff picture, and 3-0 defeats to Middlesbrough and Wolves in the last week won’t have done much to lift confidence for the end of season run-in.
When quizzed about Hernandez’s contract situation, manager Paul Heckingbottom said “one way or the other” the club will get it right, but that the focus for now is on keeping the winger performing well.
Leeds fans have been sharing their opinions on Twitter, and they’re not particularly optimistic…
