da betobet: Everton were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Serie A side Atalanta in their opening Europa League group game on Thursday, and Toffees fans were not impressed with the performance of captain Phil Jagielka.
da lvbet: The skipper was recalled to the starting line-up after being on the substitutes’ bench for the 3-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park on Saturday, but he came into the team in place of Ashley Williams at the Mapei Stadium.
However, it was a tough night for the 35-year-old and his fellow defenders as they found themselves 3-0 down at the break, and the centre-back was partly at fault for the first goal.
Having been caught out of position and then giving away the corner that led to the first – with the ball then ricocheting off him before Andrea Masiello scored – he perhaps should have also done better for the third goal, too.
Everton supporters were quick to have their say on his performance via social media, with some describing him as a liability and others saying his “body language is poor”.
