Tottenham Hotspur appear to have entered a mini-crisis at this stage of the season.Jose Mourinho’s side have now lost three successive matches in all competitions with the latest coming earlier this afternoon as they were beaten by Wolves in a five-goal thriller. But former Spurs chairman and TV personality, Lord Alan Sugar, believes he can pinpoint the exact issue. The north Londoners have had to cope with the loss through injury of both Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, who have combined for 33 goals in all competitions this season. That isn’t the problem, though, according to Sugar. He tweeted:
In their last three outings, Spurs have conceded six goals without picking up a single point, and in their previous two results before this run of dire form, they won both games but conceded four goals then too.
So maybe Sugar does have a point.
Mourinho has chopped and changed his backline all season with seven defenders featuring nine or more times since the summer.
