Sels boarded a flight from France to England to have a medical examination before completing a £5.5 million ($7m) transfer to Forest. The 31-year-old Belgian goalkeeper has been a vital part of the Ligue 1 side but now joins the Premier League club on a three-and-a-half year deal. He will wear the No. 26 shirt at his new club.

The arrival of the former Newcastle player may come as a significant blow to Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner. The United States international has come under pressure at the City Ground because of costly errors, resulting in him being dropped for five Premier League games. He was reinstated in early-December but he came under fire again this week with another mistake in the 2-1 defeat against his former team Arsenal.

Turner joined Forest from Arsenal last summer and has made 17 Premier League appearances, conceding 28 goals along the way. His team are currently 16th in the English top-flight and sit just two points clear of the relegation zone after 22 matches.
