Per , FC Utrecht are in the process of finalizing a deal to sign Aaronson from Frankfurt on loan. The Bundesliga club are also going to extend Aaronson's contract by a further year as they still view the 20-year-old as having a bright future, and this is clearly part of a long-term plan, as the German club's sporting director confirmed their desire to secure him a loan move last week.

The USMNT star, who has won one senior cap for the USMNT, played the second half of the 2023-24 season in the Netherlands, scoring four goals in 14 Eredivisie games. His form was rewarded with a call-up to the squad for the USMNT's U23 side at the Olympics.
