da betsson: Without too much exaggeration, it’s pretty safe to say that Spurs incredibly blessed to have a striker of Harry Kane’s calibre in their squad.
da pinnacle: Of course, the English goal machine requires little introduction as his 181 goals in just 278 games played for the club speak for themselves.
But even the biggest of stars need competition and, perhaps even more importantly, they need someone to offer them relief when the situation demands it.

For that reason, and especially because of the 26-year-old’s recent hamstring injury, Spurs have once again set their sights on Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, as per a report coming from 90min.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Jose Mourinho can land the Championship star and bring him back to the Premier League but one thing is for sure – the 25-year-old Serbian would definitely offer his team something different at the spearhead of the attack.
The big fat Tottenham quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Spurs?
Comparing him directly to Kane seems rather unfair but there is one aspect of Mitrovic’s game that underlines how he differs stylistically – his aerial ability.
When we take a look at their statistics in that specific department, we can see that the Serbian is averaging more aerial duels won per game with 4.5 compared to Kane’s 2.8.
The graphic detailed above illuminates the Serbia international’s aerial prowess. The bar chart details how many games each player has won three or more headers in, with Mitrovic leading the way aside from the comparison between how regularly they record six per game, which seems to be an anomalous result in an otherwise clear trend.
What is also interesting is that there was even an instance when Mitrovic recorded more than nine aerials won in a single game with 13, a feat that Kane hasn’t been able to emulate so far in the season – the highest number of aerials won in a single game stands at seven.
Of course, the difference is palpable but it gets even more significant when we dissect the stats even further and see that Mitrovic has already scored five headed goals as opposed to Kane’s two, while he is averaging 0.8 shots with his head per game compared to his counterpart’s 0.1 in their respective domestic leagues.
When everything is said and done, the former Newcastle striker could very well offer something unique to Jose Mourinho’s attack with his presence in the air.
